Our company prequalified in the tender for the project “Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the Water Supply of Corfu through PPPs” by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The project is particularly important for Corfu, as its construction will cover the water needs of the island over the next decades.
At the same time, the following are also achieved:
The elimination of 75 wells that currently have poor quality water,
The exploitation of large quantities of surface runoff that today end up in the sea.
The improvement of residents’ quality of life and the increase of tourist traffic.
The project’s object includes the construction of:
Melissoudi dams, the diversion of Kyprianades and Kalamiotissa, with the accompanying technical works.The water purification facilities in Melissoudi and Kalamiotissa.
the external networks with a total length of about 210 km,
of the tanks: Choroepiskopes, Trumbeta, Strongylis, New Tank of Meliteians.
In addition, a SCADA system will be installed for the control and tele-management of the project.
The second phase of the Tender is expected to start.
